AGM & Lessons Learned from some Great Project Managers

Date: 14/05/2008
Event organiser: APM Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire Branch

In his talk, Geoff examines some of the great projects and great project managers from the past.

Short overviews from a project management perspective of The Great Wall of China, Man on the Moon, The first ascent of Everest, The Suez Canal, The Atomic Bomb, The Mulberry Harbours and others are illustrated and brought to life by anecdotes and stories about the great managers behind these fantastic projects.

Through his presentation, Geoff asks if we could still do these great projects and if not, why?

Geoff Reiss works as a freelance programme management mentor helping project and programme managers meet their many challenges.

Recently made an Honorary Fellow of the Association for Project Management, Geoff is also Honorary President of ProgM, the Association for Project Management/British Computer Society Specific Interest Group in Programme Management.

His first books, Project Management Demystified and Programme Management Demystified have become two of Britain’s best selling books in their topics.

This event is partially sponsored by C4PM at Leeds Metropolitan University
