How to apply
Routes to CSCS cards The normal route to get a CSCS card is to achieve the appropriate N/SVQ for the required occupational level. However qualified members of the APM can now obtain a senior manager (black) CSCS card through the professional membership route – see below for further details.
The current fee for the CSCS card is £24.47.
Health and Safety test You are also required to complete a health and safety test. This is a multiple-choice, touch-screen test in Health and Safety in construction. The test currently costs £17.50 and does not include any study material. Revision materials are available from http://www.healthandsafetytest.co.uk/
Check your eligibility You must:
- be a full member of the APM
- hold the PQ or CPM qualification
- work in construction or a related sector such as civil engineering or real estate
- have passed the Manager Health and Safety test – see www.cscs.uk.com for details
APM is required to sign off your application to confirm you meet the eligibility criteria; for this we charge a non-refundable £45 administration fee, which is on top of the charge for the card.
