Charles Egbu

Charles EgbuCharles Egbu is Professor of Project and Strategic Management in Construction at the School of the Built Environment at the University of Salford.  He worked briefly as a quantity surveyor with a large UK construction firm before obtaining his PhD in construction management from Salford.  He lectures and conducts research on various areas of project management. 

Charles is a Fellow of APM.  He was formerly the vice-chairman of the Scotland branch, represented the branch on the APM Council from 2005, was elected by the Council to serve on the new board in 2006 and was re-elected to the board by the membership in 2008. 

He has published 6 books and over 200 international journal and conference publications in the areas of project and construction management.   He was also a contributing author to the Project Management Pathways - Handbook for Project Management.  Over the last 21 years he has taught and lectured over 3,000 project managers through undergraduate, postgraduate and short courses in project management.  

Professor Egbu is highly committed to the future success of APM and towards effective knowledge communication amongst members, corporate members and higher education institutions.
