ProfileAPM Earned Value Specific Interest Group The Earned Value SIG was formed in 2000. Steve Wake is the current chairman. Earned Value Management appropriately implemented provides an excellent framework for Project Controls for any environment and any size project not just big ones. Earned Value is useful to a wide community of stakeholders. Customers and suppliers, investors and auditors. The SIG manages a workgroup of interested professionals who meet on a regular basis to work on the production of useful materials for the subject. To date the group has worked on: • A guideline for Earned Value which is widely used and is reciprocal with the American ANSI 748. Current work is looking at guidance on Earned Value Measurement through the whole-life cycle of a project, programme or portfolio. The EVM SIG will be presenting their work at a future event and will be asking APM members for participation and feedback in developing this knowledge further. To follow these activities as an interested member, if you are an APM member, you must update your membership preferences online to guarantee notification. You can do this by clicking here. If you are not a member but wish to be kept up to date but with less access then notify the chairman by email. If you would like to participate more directly by joining the workgroup please contact the chairman for details.
