Full membership

Achieving full member status demonstrates your professional achievement and experience as your application is assessed by your peers. Membership entitles you to a range of unique benefits. Full members of APM may use the post-nominal MAPM (Member of the Association for Project Management).

To become a full member of APM you will have at least 5 years experience as a project management practitioner, teacher or researcher. Your application, which is reviewed by the APM membership panel, must show practical experience in managing projects or key control functions within a larger project, or teaching and/or researching project management from a practical and professional standpoint.

If you pass the APM Practitioner Qualification (PQ) you will be invited to join APM as a full member, because passing this qualification shows that you have achieved the required level of competence.

You are entitled to vote in board elections and at general meetings. You may also stand for election to the APM board and hold a range of volunteer roles in the association. You can find out more in the APM Regulations.
