How APM is runAPM promotes and encourages ethical behavior in the practice of project management by all stakeholders. One of the tools to help members of APM in this area is the code of professional conduct. The code of professional conduct sets out the standards of behaviour which APM expects its members to follow. This code fulfils our public interest (and public protection) duties and, in turn, public trust (and ‘reassurance’) in the profession of project management will continue to be developed & maintained by demonstrating that this code is properly applied; and that apparent breaches or non-compliances are adequately addressed.
APM Code of Professional Conduct
All members must express their commitment to the code when they join APM. As the profession changes and develops, or society’s expectations of the profession of project management alter, so the code will be constantly ‘tested & adapted’ against this. Responsibility for the professional and personal decisions and actions rests with the individual, but the code can be used as one of the tools in helping to make these decisions. APM is a registered charity (number: 290927) and a company limited by guarantee (number: 1218334). Its charitable objects are “to advance the science, theory and practice of project and programme management for the public benefit”.
APM Board of Trustees The board is supported by a range of committees, steering groups and head office staff. The committees report directly to the board whilst the steering groups and staff report to the board through the Chief Executive. | ||
