APM Code of Professional Conduct

The Association for Project Management is committed to the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics for all project professionals. All APM members commit to the APM Code of Professional Conduct which sets out the standards of conduct expected by those working in the profession in line with the APM Five Dimensions of Professionalism.

How it works
The code is maintained by the professional conduct committee on behalf of the board and was developed in consultation with people both within and outside the profession. It was approved by the APM membership in the general meeting.

The committee ensures that APM fulfils its responsibilities to the public interest in line with the code's procedural rules where apparent breaches or non compliances are identified. This allows APM to build public trust and reassurance in the project management profession.

Please use the complaint form to register a complaint addressed to the chief executive.

When to use the disciplinary process
The disciplinary process relates specifically to apparent breaches in the Code of Professional Conduct. For other complaints and concerns, please contact the APM company secretary.
