Guide to project auditing - an update

Back in our blog entry of 29th July, we told you about the work we were doing to develop a guide to project auditing. We have now reached a point where we would like to involve a wider group of people in this. Not just auditors, but also those who make use of the outputs of project audits, i.e. project managers and sponsors, programme and portfolio managers and sponsors, and others for whom the successful conduct of projects is of interest. Our aim is to publish this guide as one of a suite of three guides the SIG is developing, during 2012.

If you would like to join the team that is developing this guide (and it would only require your attendance at a few workshops and a bit of work in between them) then please let me know at ppasig@apm.org.uk. If you cannot be involved yourself, perhaps you can pass the message on to someone you know who might be interested. APM Guides are of great value, and one of their strengths is the authority they carry because they are authored by a broad range of knowledgeable and experienced professionals; we want this guide to be equally authoritative, so please volunteer!

We are in the process of arranging our next workshop for sometime in January.
