The programme

Chartered and Beyond is a four year, £600,000 programme with three phases. The first phase covers the Privy Council application process including legal aspects and the formation of a new Chartered Body. The second phase will establish a register of Chartered Project Professionals and the third will develop APM and its capabilities to take advantage of the attractiveness of being Chartered.   The phases will overlap.

High Level timetable
The following is an indicative timetable by which Chartered Status is to be achieved:

April 2008   Preliminary application submitted to the Privy Council
June 2008 Formal petition to the Privy Council
July -Sept 2008  Privy Council decision process – including contacting supporting organisations and individuals
October 2008 Earliest opportunity for Privy Council decision on grant of a Charter to APM
2009  Implementation of the Royal Charter
2010  Implementation of a Register of Chartered Project Professionals

 NB: The dates stated are the earliest possible. The timetable by which the Privy Council will complete its deliberations is outside the control of the programme.
