Special Interest Group on PM in Research and Development

Hi,

I am a project management professional working for a lage software company and managing their IT reseach projects. At the same time, I am working on a PhD in the same area: the management of collaborative IT research projects.

I now came accross an APM special interest group which were founded in the 1990s by Bob Saunders called SIG on Project Management in Research and Development. which exactly investiaged questions related to my topic. Unfortunately I cannot find any further information on the group or possible publications. Does anyone know what happened to them and were I can find useful documents or how I can contact some of the (former) members?

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi Sonia,

Its going back before my time, but I'll see what I can find out for you. I believe Bob has since retired, but hopefully someone here is still in touch.

Hi Owain,

thanks a lot for your help. It would be great if you could point me to some contacts  that were involved or material (documents, etc) that cover the results. From the announcement that I found it sounds that there was a lot happening and exactly in the area that I am doing research in, however I cannot find any results unfortunately.

Cheers, Sonia

Sonia,

Bob Saunders worked at the Open University and has since retired.  However, he maintains a keen interest in project management and am sure he would be happy to hear from you.  I am reluctant to put his email address on this open forum.  Hence, have sent his contact details to Owain Wilson at APM who will be able to forward them to you.

Best  Steve

Just sent the details over but got your out of office. Let me know if you want me to send it to another address. You can send me a private message at https://www.apm.org.uk/user/34/contact

Best regards
