PMO Recruitment Agencies

Unfortunately, I will be made redundant at the end of March 2012 and I am looking to secure new employment within a PMO.
I am not clear on the eticate of self-promotion or job-hunting within the forum, therefore, I would simply say that I have been working as a PMO Manager for 3 years within the Public Sector and that I love my job!
One of the biggest barriers I am encountering is that although there are plenty of PMO positions out there, they are mainly within the financial sercices and insurance sectors where sector experience is required.
If anyone could provide me with any information on specialist recruitment agencies that deal with PMO positions I would be most grateful. Any other tips, leads, guidance would also be very much appreciated.

I can't comment on specialist recruitment agencies but am interested to see what others post on the subject.
But I would recommend spending a chunk of time on your LinkedIn profile. There is a huge amount of trawling now done to identify possible candidates long before jobs get advertised, so make sure every buzz word that describes your skills, experience and desires is on your profile.
I was in the same situation as you just over a year ago and was contacted by a recruitment firm out of the blue based on my info on LinkedIn and that led to a 2 year contract.
