Find out what sawdust and milk have to do with the renamed Bapsy Memorial Hall. Are there bats in the Guildhall belfry?
Join us for a fascinating and entertaining evening during which guests will have the opportunity to view the refurbishment to the Bapsy Memorial Hall, enjoy a gourmet dinner and hear about the project from both the architect and project manager. The evening will, once again, provide a great opportunity for members to socialise and entertain friends and business associates. Tables for 10 are available.

Bill Everton recently retired as managing director of Gentle Consulting.
He joined the industry in 1970 as a peg-basing site engineer, becoming building director and eventually an equity shareholder following a management buy out of the company which was Walcon Construction Limited. In 1989 he set up a project management company forming Gentle Associates Limited who in the early days concentrated on project management and quantity surveying services, developing during the 1990s into a more bespoke project
management company diversifying into construction management for which the company's pragmatic project management skills proved invaluable.
Winchester Guildhall bears testament to the skills of good project management and the benefit of construction management. This was a project that dictated client operations remaining live and fully functional, operating in a number of areas simultaneously, working on a grade II listed building, and maintaining peace and harmony at all times!
![]() | Dinner will be served in the magnificent gothic King Charles Hall (so-called because of the portraits of King Charles I and II which adorn the walls). Members will be invited to make a personal contribution to the Countess Mountbatten Hospice via an entertaining charity auction. |
