Corporate strength agile. Agile or fragile?  The do’s and don’ts of corporate strength agile.

In this session, Keith Richards will show you how to improve an organisation's existing agile capability by going through a series of carefully crafted questions that have specific answers gained from experience in the front line of large-scale corporate environments from both the private and public sectors.

The session covers:

  • What actually is agile? What does it look like?
  • What is a technique and what is a methodology?
  • Which approaches scale and which don’t?
  • How does it relate to existing best practice in project management, programmes and project support?
  • Who benefits from agile, who needs to stand up and be counted and who can get caught in the crossfire?
  • Where do CxOs fit in – what do they need to know?
  • How do you change to an agile culture – what are the core competencies?

There will be an emphasis on the need for structure and rigour when using agile across an organisation. It will explain the benefits of approaches such as DSDM Atern whilst helping attendees understand the appropriate use of techniques such as kanban charts, story cards, burndown charts etc. Everything has its place – it just needs to know where its place is!
