Effective stakeholder engagement in project management

The Project Management Specialist Interest Group of the British Computer Society are holding an event in London on the topic of effective stakeholder engagement in project management.

Perhaps the major reason for projects not succeeding is a failure to engage with all stakeholders and we are focusing on this topic area for this years Spring School. When we last held a school on this over 5 years ago, we called it stakeholder management. Now there is consensus that engagement is much more appropriate to reflect the wider team approach. We have a mix of excellent speakers from academia, consultancies, clients and suppliers. There will be something for everyone. Final details on scheduling the programme are being finalised. However, it will follow the successful model of previous years - presentations on successive Tuesday evenings in March with a speaker panel on the final evening followed by food and wine and a networking opportunity. Costs are being kept to a minimum and in addition, all bookings up to 6 February 2012 will qualify for an automatic 15% discount, so book now for this fascinating school to save disappointment.

For further details please see the BCS website here. Charges do apply for this event.
