Each year the NW Branch hosts a series of local members' evenings where we can get together to discuss project management topics over some food and meet local colleagues.

This year, we have decided to test your organisational skills with the Lean "Plank" game. This is a fun and practical way to explore some of the key principles of the LEAN approach to continuous process improvement. Key principles covered will include the voice of customer, 5S and use of techniques such as shadow boards. The game can also draw out useful discussion points for Agile iterations and team roles on projects. Sue Clarke and Chris Basford from AstraZeneca will lead you through the game.
The duration of the game is dependent on the skill and experience of the players, but advice and guidance will be fed into the players by the facilitators to ensure that there is still plenty of time for networking.
Whether you are an experienced project manager, a novice, or just want to find out more about project management in general, you are welcome to join us.

Feel free to bring along colleagues and friends, whether APM members or not, but do please register first so that we have a clear idea of numbers.
Each meeting will be hosted by a NW branch committee member who will be available to answer any questions you may have and to make you fully aware of what the APM has to offer.
Further events will be taking place around the North West region - details will be published shortly.
This event is suitable for all levels of the project management profession.
