Turner and Townsend, in conjunction with the APM NW branch, will give an in-depth site tour followed by a short talk on the key challenges of the castle refurbishment project.

Clitheroe Castle is a landmark medieval site in the centre of the old market town of Clitheroe. After years of deterioration, the Borough Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund together undertook what was the largest capital works project the authority had ever done. Complex, hugely sensitive and a real source of community pride, the refurbishment project held many challenges for the consultant and contracting team.

The site re-opened to the public in 2009 and has enjoyed very positive feedback from visitors. It won the APM Community Project of the Year 2009

Please note there is no on-site parking and the site is at the top of a steep access path. Visitors are advised to follow signs to the short stay car park and then the signs to the castle.

Remember to attend APM events and maintain your CPD portfolio if you wish to pursue individual Chartered Status in the future.

This event is now fully booked. If you would like to join a waiting list to take advantage of any cancellations please email events@apm.org.uk
