The Centre for Project Management at Leeds Metropolitan University hosts the 2010 international post graduate conference on strategic project management.
This conference presents the research work of students of the MSc Strategic Project Management academics and associates of the Centre for Project Management at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Invited are: APM Members, students of project management and guests.
We are particularly hopeful that APM members and practitioners will assist in commenting and influencing the research in this area.

Papers are still coming in and this list will be refined.
Paper copies of the Abstracts will be provided for all attendees.
Authors will briefly present their findings in the morning, after the key notes.
During and after lunch opportunities to talk to the authors exist and there will be poster presentations of their works. Delegates will be asked to ‘vote’ for papers they would like to hear in full on the following day.
(If you are not able to come on the Monday the entire proceedings will be videod).
CDs of the full papers will be available after the event.
The afternoon will include debate topics in which the delegates will be encouraged to get involved...
- Contemporary issues facing project managers.
- What‘s ‘strategy’ got to do with it!
- The trouble with people!
- The future of project management.
The conference will have voting devices so all will have a chance to engage and ‘cast a vote’.
The day will end with a plenary session.
Monday 5th July will follow a similar format, with more time for paper presentation, and debate, finishing earlier.
