The School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham in conjuction with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) offer a 3 year time MSc in Industrial Project Management.
The course is industry focussed covering project management in areas such as fast moving consumer goods, construction, pharmaceuticals and oil and gas. The course has been developed and is delivered by practicing project management professionals from GSK and elsewhere alongside academic staff from the University of Birmingham.
The first two years consist of 9 taught modules (5 year one, 4 year two). Each module is an intensive 2 or 3 day course mixing theory, practical examples and coursework. The third year is a major project relating to the individuals project experience.
The third cohort of this course starts January 2012.
