Governing Change - 'what to do and how to do it'

Date: 01/04/2008
Event organiser: GoPM SIG

This conference will benefit directors and their advisors on governance issues as well as other senior managers determined to ensure the greatest benefit from project management wherever applied in their organisations.

This is the first major conference on applying governance requirements across all types of projects: internal, external and jointly owned, from conception to closure.

The conference builds on the work of the Governance of Project Management Specific Interest Group, founded in October 2003 and the 2007 publication of 'Co-Directing Change: A Guide to the Governance of Multi-Owned Projects.' The Co signatories of Mike Nichols, Chairman of APM and Dr. Neville Bain, Chairman of the Institute of Directors, will be the key note speakers at this seminal conference. Also speaking are
Chris Circuit, Business Governance Controller, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating BV, and
Liz Underhill, Head of Olympics Programme and Risk Management, Government Olympic Executive.

“In many organisations there remains a gap in the governing surveillance of project activities. Responsible practice requires that this gap be eliminated to improve your corporate performance, reduce shocks at boardroom level and avoid hardship to stakeholders.”
Sir Bob Reid
