The last RPP roadshow rollled into Birmingham at the Jurys Inn, to an audience of 42 members and non members who had turned up to learn about APM Registered Project Professional from Julie Legge, APM's Head of Membership. As with all roadshows, RPP Champions were on hand to give their experience of going through the pilot and offer up any advice.

Monday 4th April, saw an engaging and very well presented talk from Bryan Barrow, around reducing project risks to deliver projects on time and under budget. The meeting was really well attended, probably the highest attendance level the Birmingham chapter has had this year, and the sandwiches soon disappeared as members got into good discussion prior to Bryan's presentation.

Delegates joined Rob and Jane at the Holiday Inn, Coventry for the first of many presentations on the Lens Collective. The event proved very interactive with both role play and workshop and, some very challenging questions which ensured that both Rob and Jane were in good form.

The Derby chapter of the Midlands branch pulled out all the stops to put on a very successful multi-speaker event on Thursday 10th February at Nottingham Trent University. The presentation was specifically constructed to reach out to students, graduates and those new to project management and, to ensure they were afforded variation throughout the evening, speakers from four different organisations were invited to present

APM Derby Chapter held the first of their 2011 events at Nottingham Trent University’s newly refurbished Newton Building. The change of venue was prompted by the sheer crowd-pulling power of the speaker, Stephen Carver, whose unique story-telling style makes him a firm favourite with audiences.
