The APM Women in Project Management SIG believe that there are many members of the APM who could, and should, apply for Fellowship. Some have never considered it and many don't really know what it entails. Many of these are women, who are under-represented at Fellowship level (there are only 10 female fellows at the moment.)

Around 90 people attended both days of Knowledgeshare 2010 last week at The Kings Fund in London to hear 35 presentations by a number of APMs Specific Interest Groups.
This story briefly reviews Knowledgeshare 2010 and provides access to the presentations from the event.
What is the group's purpose?
WiPM addresses the development and promotion of women working in project management environments, and also the development of the project management discipline through the contribution of women. We support both men and women in their efforts to maintain a balance between the many demands imposed on them whilst striving to retain their own identity.
We attempt to fulfil our aims primarily through giving opportunities to network; providing a contact and information base for those wanting to move on/make changes; promoting successful ways of working; and undertaking a PR role for women in project-based industries.
