How do I change my contact details? You can change your postal address, email address and phone number in the password protected members’ area. Click here to access the member login page for access to the area. If you have not visited the members’ area before, you will need to register with your membership number and the email address which we use to communicate with you.
Can you tell me what my membership number is? Your membership card holds your membership number. If you don’t have that to hand it is also printed on the carrier sheet that comes with Project magazine every month. Alternatively you can contact our membership team on membership@apm.org.uk.
I would like to move to the next level of membership. How do I do this? If you wish to upgrade your membership from Student to Associate, or from Associate to Full Member, you will need to complete an individual member application form and select the ‘Upgrade’ option. Once completed please send this to APM for assessment by the APM Membership Panel. To upgrade your membership during the year an upgrade administration charge will be levied (waived for employees of corporate members), but your subscription payment will remain unchanged until your annual renewal date.
How do I become a fellow? To be awarded FAPM, you should have either at least 5 years full membership of APM, or at least 10 years experience at a senior level. Most importantly, you need to demonstrate the contribution you have made to the profession as a whole. We have recently revised the application process for Fellowship and you can find out how to apply by clicking here.
I have paid my fees but I have still not received my membership card Membership applications typically take 4-6 weeks from receipt to process. If you have not heard from us by then, please get in touch.
What if I apply to be a full member but am assessed as an Associate? If the membership panel decides that your application should be awarded Associate level, you can either send in additional information to support your application or wait until you have sufficient experience to upgrade your membership. The membership panel will offer guidance on which is the appropriate course of action for you. If awarded associate level, you will be charged the associate level subscription fee.
How do I get in touch with other members? One of the main benefits of your membership is the ability to network with other project professionals. The most effective way of doing this is by attending events run by our branches or Specific Interest Groups. You are welcome to attend any event in the country and you can find out about forthcoming events on our events calendar. We will also keep you up to date with events in the branches and SIGs of your choice. Just pick the ones you want to hear about by changing your profile in the members’ area. Click here for the login page.
How do I contact my branch? Contact details for your branch can be found on the branch micro-sites. You can find the link on the home page.
How do I access the benefits available through 'APM Advantage'? To access the APM Advantage website, you will need to log in to the members’ area.
What if I want to leave? Your membership is very important to us and we would be sorry to lose you. Please take a moment to consider the benefits that membership of a professional organisation brings you. Click here to refresh your memory. If you are certain that you do not want to renew, please let us know why, so that we can take your reasons into account when planning improvements to future membership benefits. You can contact us on 01494 460245 or at info@apm.org.uk.
