Learning Legacy 2012

APM is proud to support the Olympic Delivery Authority’s (ODA) Learning Legacy by disseminating the lessons learned on programme organisation and project management, through a series of events and resources.

As an official partner APM will share the knowledge and lessons learned from one of the most successful British construction projects of our time delivered on time and on budget by the ODA.

Along with APM, the ODA has worked closely with contractors, industry partners, government bodies and academia to capture the lessons learned and document best practice examples and innovations for the benefit of the profession and to raise the bar within the construction sector.

To aid in sharing best practice in the run-up to the greatest sporting event of the year the APM will run a series of five events that will support the active dissemination of the Learning Legacy framework and will set out how the ODA delivered the venues and infrastructure via a complex programme of around 50 major, interrelated projects. There will also be other resources that will be provided by APM including news items, videos and more:

Individual reports and information can be downloaded from the ODA’s Learning Legacy website.

The ODA has worked in partnership with the following industry and professional bodies: Chartered Institute of Building; Health and Safety Executive; Institution of Civil Engineers; Institution of Occupational Safety and Health; Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors; The Institution of Engineering and Technology; The Landscape Institute; UK Green Building Council
