£30k grant scheme for engineering projects

The Royal Academy of Engineering is offering up to £30,000 of funding for the next creative engineering project through their Ingenious grant scheme.

The Ingenious grants programme aims to inspire creative public engagement with engineering projects. If you or your organisation has an imaginative idea that helps engineers to communicate their expertise and passion for engineering to a wider audience then apply today.

You could be an engineer interested in running your own project, or a science and engineering communicator keen to explore ways to provide public engagement training and opportunities.

Ingenious, supported by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), has funded over 90 projects to date, providing opportunities for over 1,500 engineers to take part in thought-provoking activities, to gain skills in communication and to bring engineering to the very centre of society.

Applications should be submitted by 21st September 2012. Proposals are accepted from different types of organisations, including joint applications from engineers and engineering organisations and institutions, universities, science and engineering communicators, public engagement specialists, colleges and schools.
