APM Sustainability survey

In early 2009 it was decided that APM should undertake some consultations to assist APM in considering its options for its involvements and contributions to sustainability, the environment and green issues in the UK and globally.

There has been an acceleration in the last ten years of interest in the environment, alarms of global warming, needs for conservation of resources and nature, concerns of wastefulness – and what might, could and should be done about such issues.

The consultations have included addressing such matters at forums and meetings of SIGs, branches and corporate members. There have also been articles in Project magazine.

A particular exercise consisted of providing a questionnaire and survey open to members and other interested parties to contribute their views from August through to September 2009.
