Hilary Hinks

Hilary has been involved in project management for the last 15 years. Having taken a degree in modern history, politics and philosophy and then working in the travel industry for a while, she took a position with Sun Alliance in the IT Department. Here she helped to set up a project office for the department and then became a technical project/programme manager for telecommunication/IT infrastructure related internal change projects within the Sun Alliance Group. An example being helping to set up a division of Sun Alliance for contact centre working throughout the UK.
From here she moved to a small contact centre consultancy where she specialised in consultancy and project management for customer facing business projects, for both blue chip multi-nationals and SMEs.
Hilary attained membership of the APM in 2001, having moved to Siemens Communications, again managing a range of customer facing projects, with more emphasis on solution integration, and delivering innovative real time business communication solutions for Siemens major customers. She has also been involved in internal change programmes within Siemens, and one of these is the ongoing process of integrating project management processes into the business, and ensuring that project management and the benefits it brings are as fully realised as possible within Siemens.
