Evolution of Collaborative Behaviours

Date: 21/10/2008
Event organiser: APM Farnborough Chapter

How can technology, communications and the internet affect your Business?

Globalisation is fundamentally changing the way we do business. Emerging economies like India, China and South Korea are becoming key players in global consumer markets.
Emerging economies are growing their intellectual capability through high levels of education. Most of their students are studying for business, engineering, maths and computer science degrees, many learning in Western Institutions.

Technological change and the use of the internet are providing new ways of communication and social interaction impacting both business and leisure environments. The internet has morphed from being a presentation facility to a platform that enables organisations to operate in virtual communities across their global footprint.

The combination of increased social networking, technology enablers and the growth of intellectual capability by emerging economies is creating new levels of competition.
Thought Leaders suggest that the generation of future intellectual capital and its application is no longer bounded by traditional locational boundaries and the way in which we work and collaborate in future will change. So, recognising this challenge how might our collaborative behaviours need to evolve?
