Russel JamiesonWessex Branch ChairmanRussel has been a member of the APM since 2002. He joined the Wessex Branch committee in 2005 and was elected chairman of the Wessex branch in June 2006 having previously been responsible for organising the bi-monthly branch events. He is a member of the Branch Steering Group (overseeing all APM branches and their links in to HQ). He is now in his late-40's, has been married to Jo since 1978 and has 2 children; one is at Southampton Solent University studying Journalism and Media and the other still at secondary school in Bournemouth. Russel currently works as a Community Development Manager for the Project and Programme Management Professional Community within BT Design. He previously primarily worked for Barclays Bank PLC and JPMorgan as well as a couple of other organisations for shorter periods. He has been involved with project and programme management since the mid 1980's and holds APMP, APMPQ and MAPM as well as PRINCE2 and AIM accreditations. Russel is a keen cricketer and used to be a 'pretty handy' all-rounder playing for Bournemouth CC in their Southern cricket league championship winning team during the 80's. He was also a fringe minor counties player but now settles for social games around Dorset and Hampshire on Sunday afternoons, choosing his fixtures on the quality of the teas and not the teams! He is also a qualified Football Association coach and manages the (mighty) Moordown Athletic in the Bournemouth youth under 15 league. | ||
