Welcome to the Wessex branch area within the APM website.

We are delighted that you have taken the time to find us .

2008/09 promises to be an exciting year for us as we continue to welcome new members, both individual and corporate, into our extended family. As a branch we now have over 800 individual members and 14 corporate members though many more whose HQ lies within other APM regions. Each of you are equally welcome to attend our regular networking and learning events. These are normally FREE and generally held on the 2nd Tuesday of alternate months (January, March, May, July, September & November) at the Holiday Inn, Eastleigh though this year we also have some exciting 'alternative' evening events at different venues.

For our main events we start from 6.15pm with networking, food and soft drinks, which gives everyone a chance to wind down after work and have a relaxed chat before the main event starts at 7.15pm. This is usually a talk on a subject of interest to the local members. We aim to be finished by 9.00pm. There is quite often a FREE raffle draw with previous prizes including free training courses, a digital camera and a wide variety of project management related books including the APM's own current 'must have' Competence Framework.

We have a structured programme running through to July 2009 with quality speakers. We will advertise the events just as soon as all of the speakers have confirmed their dates.

This year we are also planning to run a 'university challenge' between Bournemouth and Portsmouth based upon a sustainable project. For this we will hopefully be utilising former APM Chairman Tom Taylor. Watch out for more details.

Remember that these regular events are FREE to all so why not bring a friend along and have a great evening eating, drinking, networking and learning. We look forward to meeting with you.
