Nick has recently retired from Shell after 37 years and has extensive experience of managing both complex global project portfolios as well as multi-billion dollar projects in senior leadership/project director roles.
He retired from the role of Chief Projects Engineer where he was accountable for managing how projects were delivered as well as a variety of significant improvement programmes. As Global Discipline Head for Project Engineering, Nick helped develop the Project Engineering community globally with the Shell Project Academy, which is where close links were formed with APM.
Nick now works part time running his own project management consultancy and, as a high energy project professional, wants to now contribute back to the broader project profession through supporting APM as a board trustee.
He has a deep interest in leading people to develop their competencies and enabling them to deliver extra ordinary performance across all project phases and being able to work in an ever more complex digital world. He hopes to contribute significantly to helping APM and their membership achieve their strategy goals and ambitions.
