Philip Isgar

Philip is a senior sirector with a wide experience of developing, leading and managing multi-discipline high profile large capital investment programmes and organisations within both public and private sectors, that seek strategic level policy making, engineering excellence, complementary interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills.

He completed a three years tenure as a member of the board of the Major Projects Association and was the chair of its Programme  Committee, he now is a Honorary Member. Complementarily, he has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship and life-time membership with the Association for Project Management. In July 2017 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering by the University of Bolton.

During the last 40 years, he has worked extensively within the nuclear and infrastructure sectors.

He has proven success in three Regulatory environments, nuclear, rail and water. He is currently the immediate past chair - ICE Manchester, Chair - Nuclear Institute Digital Community (Engineering-Manufacturing-Construction-Operations) -SIG, member of ICE Northern Powerhouse Strategy Committee and is a representative on  the Construction Industry Council on behalf of APM. He is co-author of CIC Publication 'Construction Project Management Skills' (ISBN 1 898671 24 9). His strength is his ability to provide leadership and connectivity across a number of sector platforms through his collaborative working relationships at Board level and with government.
