Lynn Dwyer has been with the VEC for over eight years and is a key member of the senior management team. Lynn is responsible for setting the business strategy, all commercial activities and the development and management of funded projects for the centre. Lynn‘s background is in industrial economics and commercial strategy development.
Lynn has over 26 years’ of experience in the digital engineering field, including VR, new product development, funded and commercial projects and business management. Lynn also has collaborated with a wide range of businesses including Bentley, Optis, Jaguar Land Rover, Airbus, EDF, Wood plc and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Session synopsis: Digital adoption is becoming a strategic aim across many businesses and is being encouraged by Government through initiatives such as “Made Smarter”, with the aim of improving productivity and ensuring that the UK can compete in a global marketplace.
To survive in the current climate, businesses understand there is a need to be more collaborative and work closely with their supply chains and share challenges and expertise to compete.
The presentation focuses on how digital technologies are helping to transform businesses and provide new business models. The presentation will look at how digital technologies are being adopted and the impact they are having on a range of businesses and sectors, both large and small.
