Samantha began her project management career as a level 4 apprentice with Sellafield Ltd in September 2016. She successfully passed the APM PMQ qualification, with a score of 90%, within a year of starting her apprenticeship. Samantha then went on to become one of the first in the country to complete the Associate Project Management Trailblazer apprenticeship in the summer of 2018, achieving a distinction. Alongside completing the apprenticeship, she finished an FDSC in project management at the University of Cumbria.
Whilst working at Sellafield Ltd, Samantha has had the opportunity to gain a range of in-depth project management experience. Completing placements in; project management, project controls, risk management, construction and commissioning management. All of these having the focus of delivering successful projects in challenging nuclear environments.
Prior to starting her apprenticeship, Samantha attended Edge Hill University and achieved a Ba (Hons) in primary education with specialisms in science and special educational needs (SEN). As part of her degree she used her SEN specialism to teach pupils with special educational needs in a mainstream school environment.
