Aimée Tweedie is an Assistant Project Manager for BAE Systems, currently working on the Type 26 Global Combat Ship programme. After completing the BAE Systems Graduate Development Framework in 2017, Aimée has worked in a variety of projects and programmes within the company and its business units, enhancing her skills and knowledge of project management throughout each role.
With over three years of project management experience, some of Aimée’s career highlights include delivering the successful SEA5000 bid working with various stakeholders from both UK and Australia; providing the PM support to deliver Phase 1 of the Unmanned Surface Vessel project and launch event; participating in sea trials on the Pacific 24 Rigid Inflatable Boats; and micro-managing the magazine compartment on HMS Forth working with a multidisciplinary team.
In her current role, Aimée is helping to manage and achieve design maturity within the Type 26 hull and outfit design. On top of the day job, Aimée is also involved in a variety of diversity and inclusion activities and has recently introduced a Diversity Calendar for the Naval Ships business at the start of the year and is an active LGBT ally and supporter of our Employee Resource Networks.
