New Initiatives in Project Management Education

Babcock International identified a need to improve their project management capability within their organisation.  Kathryn Jones, the Director of  Project Management Cavendish Nuclear approached the University of Plymouth to discuss the possibility of launching the Project Management Degree Apprenticeship (PMDA).  The University of Plymouth have worked in partnership with Babcock International to develop, design and deliver the PMDA.  The programme launched in September 2021 and is going from strength to strength.  This session will describe the journey from inception to launch and beyond.

Diane Stanley BSc, PgCAP, FHEA is the Programme Lead for the Project Management Degree Apprenticeship (PMDA) at the University of Plymouth.  Prior to moving into an academic role Diane worked for over 12 years as a Senior Project Manager at the University delivering key strategic projects. In addition to this Diane has extensive experience of working as a project manager delivering large scale change management projects in the private and public sector.
