Are you interested in project management?
The Association for Project Management (APM), the Chartered body for the project profession, is bringing together the Guernsey project management community.
This lunch time event will be a great opportunity to find out what has changed within APM since being awarded Chartership, with news on membership, professional qualifications, the routes available for individuals to apply for the much-coveted Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) designation, and other aspects of APM’s activities.
We welcome anyone who is interested to know more about project management (PM) in the Channel Islands. You may already be a PM or are running projects without an official title.
We will introduce you to APM and show how it can benefit you, and your role, help you widen your network of contacts, and encourage membership to APM, the key to unlocking your full PM potential.
The APM Channel Isles committee has been formed under the Wessex committee. The islands of Guernsey and Jersey have their own governing bodies, which is also true of professional bodies’ such as the Institute of Directors. But the project community has decided to create a unified committee to support the profession of PM under its Chartered body APM.
The aim of the event shall be to encourage all industries and members of the local workforce to consider APM as the standard torchbearer for PM. Thereby, encouraging greater membership and involvement with APM at an Individual or Corporate level.
The vision is to shape the event to provide a rounded background of APM (and how it can help you) and what it delivers from a membership perspective.
The event will provide more visibility of APM, project work as a professional career, and set out a mandate for APM delivery and collaboration with future Guernsey members.
Presenting at this event will be Scott Crittell, Ed Smith and Ellie Knowelden.
Scott Crittell has more than 30 years' experience in Financial Services, working across differing sectors of the Industry, most notably, but not exclusively, in Private Banking and Fiduciary. He is a member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD), a Fellow with the Australian Institute of Project Management (FAIPM) and also the APM, and has worked with the Chartered Body as a judge of its annual APM Awards 2018 and 2019.
More speaker biographies will follow shortly.
