Conflict and the project manager

Active Business Centre Ltd , St Andrews Castle, 33 St Andrews Street South, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 3PH

Discover what your brain does in conflict situations!

Explore the different types of conflict we encounter within projects.

Conflicts and the Project Manager will help with understanding the sources of conflict with an emphasis on what our brain does in a conflict situation and how, if we understand that, we can manage conflicts more appropriately.

Our key speaker, Milee Bramblebee, will also discuss different conflict styles and what works and what does not!

Milee Bramblebee has a wealth of experience as an operational manager and a leader of strategic change in the public sector and in both charitable and commercial enterprises. Her expertise in conflict resolution is born out of the necessity to maintain relationships and keep the company moving forward during the most challenging of times.

She has been practicing as a workplace mediator since 2013 and since 2014 her company, Commonsense Services, has been providing mediation, conflict coaching and a range of conflict management and leadership workshops across East Anglia and the UK.

Further information can be found at the commonsenseservices website.

‘I have attended a training session run by Milee and found it was engaging and insightful, with many good explanations of how conflict can initiate, the styles of conflict and how we can all personally manage conflict in a number of situations – it was very worthwhile and immediately useful training’ - Mark Buckton, Secretary of the East of England APM Committee

Milee has considerable experience in Project Management, having managed a large Project and Change Management team within a Public Sector Organisation and having been a Head of IT. This allows her to provide practical experience as well as good theoretical knowledge.

Milee is also an experienced community mediator and in October 2016 was Highly Commended in the category “Community Mediator of the year” at the National Mediation Awards.

Further information can be found at the commonsenseservices website.

Previous presentations and webinars can be viewed on the APM Slideshare and YouTube channels.

This event is suitable for professionals with any level of experience.
