Everything you wanted to know about PMOs

Holiday Inn, Theatreland, 161-165 West Nile Street, Glasgow, G1 2RL

Ever wondered what a PMO does? If you already have a PMO, could it be running better? Where do you start if you need to create one?

The APM’s PMO SIG will explain what a PMO is, how to implement one in your organisation and make it a success. Examples from across sectors and industries will be used.

In this interactive, entertaining and informative session, the PMO SIG will level the playing field for those who are confused about what PMO is and what it can bring to an organisation.

Delegates will explore the history of PMO, its benefits, roles, and give away some tips for success for anyone working in or planning to start on their PMO journey.

A Q&A session will follow the main presentation where delegates will be able to put the speaker on the spot with some real life experiences and challenges!

Marisa Silva, the Lucky PM, is an experienced certified PMO and PPM consultant, trainer, and speaker, with a track record of building capabilities in complex organisations undergoing transformational change. A passionate advocate of the value of PMOs and project management, she is Secretary of the APM PMO SIG, a Senior Consultant at Wellingtone, and Programmes Director at Project Managers Without Borders. Marisa is the author of “Bedtime Stories for Project Managers” and the founder of in2PMO, a specialist PMO and business transformation consultancy firm dedicated to help organisations deliver impactful and sustainable business value from their PMOs, projects and programs.

This event is suitable for professionals with an intermediate level of experience.
