Is it time to change the world

Lloyds Banking Group, 69 Morrison St, Edinburgh EH3 8BW

This is a cross company event aimed at building awareness of change in young people throughout the country. Most people who end up in change (and once there, few ever go back to ‘BAU’) end up there by accident, rather than design. Yet a career in change should be hugely desirable and should be a career of choice for young people.

This event is about understanding what we can do to build a future pipeline of talent, at an early age, so that we can, in essence, bring about a step change in capability in the change profession by developing top quality change professionals at an earlier age.

The aim is to bring the top thinkers across Scotland, from different companies and disciplines, across every aspect of the change profession, to develop a future for young people in change. If we can make this work in Scotland, we can export this concept across the world, and can truly say we have changed the world in the way that we develop change as a profession.

The actual shape and form of the event is still being developed, but thinking is well advanced.

Bill Buchan is a thought leader in transforming organisations portfolio management and change capability, with a track record of developing and implementing world class portfolio and PMO processes. An innovative and inspiring professional, differentiated by showing significant strengths in outlining strategic vision, portfolio management and delivery, stakeholder management , effective communication, commercial awareness, understanding risk appetite and an exceptional track record of delivery.
