The event will explain the principles behind effective risk management and how to apply them to increase project success.
The APM’s vision is a world in which all projects succeed. To achieve this vision, effective risk management is essential. This is a key responsibility of the project manager. But how can we make sure that risk management delivers results?
This seminar will explain:
- Clear definition of risks, issues and opportunities
- How to implement risk management techniques throughout the project lifecycle
- An introduction to Monte Carlo risk modelling and its benefits
- How to define good mitigation actions ensuring effective management
- Overcoming behavioural issues in risk management
Kerry Wickett is Head of Risk at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff. She originally trained in assurance and consultancy practices with KPMG and now utilises the skills she developed to match client requirements to overall objectives. A qualified audit manager, Kerry has since specialised in programme and project risk management. She provides risk management teams for large programmes of work such as the Metrolink tram extensions at Transport for Greater Manchester and the Greater West Programme for Network Rail. She also manages a team embedded into Highways England with portfolio of projects from project inception through to construction and handover.
Kerry specialises in quantitative risk analysis modelling for cost and schedule (Monte Carlo analysis) and is familiar with industry standard software packages.
This event is suitable for professionals with any level of experience.
