Measures for assurance tool kit

Royal Scots Club, 29-31 Abercromby Pl, Edinburgh EH3 6QE

The aim of this event is to promote awareness of project assurance, and introduce the measures for assurance - tool kit.

The tool kit was developed by a working group from the APM Assurance SIG and published as an electronic download by the APM in 2016.

This event will focus on explaining measures for assurance, including an introduction to the tool kit; how it was created and its practical application.

The presentation will include an outline of the Assurance SIG and how the tool kit fits within an assurance framework.

The speaker and members of the branch committee will share anecdotes and examples from their experience of how it has been used in practice.

The event will be interactive and the audience will be able to share their experiences of assurance.

An outcome of the event may be the creation of a local Measures for Assurance user group, which can interact with the national user group facilitated by the Assurance SIG

Tim Podesta completed his career with BP in 2016 having celebrated 35 years in a number of technical, commercial and leadership roles including program management and subject matter expertise in projects.

Tim is an APM Assurance SIG committee member. For over 10 years he has been active in thought leadership around measures for assurance. Leading the creation of the tool kit, with a working group of experienced assurance practitioners from a broad cross section of industries.

This event is suitable for professionals with any level of experience.
