Mental health – we all have it!

Friends House, 173 - 177 Euston Road, London, NW1 2BJ

Awareness of the issue of mental health has never been more prominent among the public thinking. Yet, 1 in 4 people still suffer with poor mental health at any given time.

This brings with it significant impact on individuals, business and wider society, with a cost to the economy running into the billions of pounds.

Paul Hay will discuss mental health, and the benefits of a pro-active approach from both an individual and business perspective, as well as providing tips on improving resilience.

Paul will cover the following:

  • The scale of the problem
  • Mental health defined
  • Causes of poor mental health
  • Resilience
  • Building a mentally healthy workplace

Paul Hay works for Lendlease Europe Ltd. (a multinational construction, property and infrastructure company) as their EHS Training Manager, and co-leads their award winning mental health programme. Paul has worked in health and safety for nearly 25 years in both internal and consultancy roles across various industry sectors. With a passion for learning and development, Paul believes that a strong educational and training programme is key to developing a lasting health and safety culture in any business.
