Projecting the Future and APM Midlands Awards 2020

The IET, Austin Court, 80 Cambridge Street, Birmingham, B1 2NP

This special evening recognises and rewards the success of Young Project Professionals in the Midlands community.  The theme for the evening this year is Projecting the Future, the Big Conversation.

The event will provide key information from our keynote speaker Rob Leslie-Carter, Director, Arup.

Rob Leslie-Carter joins us to present about the Future of Project Management (FoPM).  Find out how this compilation of best practice, emerging trends, and forward thinking, can inspire the way you deliver change through projects.

Guests will also have an opportunity to join in the Big Conversation with an expert project management panel, which will include Rob Leslie-Cater from Arup, Dr Andrew Clifton from Rolls Royce and APM CEO Debbie Dore.

Award finalists will then give a great insight into their projects.  The lessons learned along the way, the solutions used to overcome challenges and the steps taken to achieve success!

Guests will hear from last year’s winner Sophie Laverick, project manager, (XPO Logistics).

Sophie’s project “Tamworth Transition Project”, saw her lead and successfully deliver the transition of responsibility, for operating a Sainsbury’s distribution centre, from the outgoing service provider to XPO Logistics.

Find out about the projects Sophie has been leading in the past year, and the positive opportunities obtained since winning the award

Before this event takes place, you can join the Midlands Project Management community in a special Market Place event. This event will provide a great opportunity to network and discuss key project management opportunities with local companies and fellow project professionals.
