Message left: Tuesday 6 April 2021
This evening discussion is now fully booked. In case there is continued high demand and engagement with this topic, please leave your details if you wish to be contacted in the future if a rerun is organised.

A seminar discussion with Richard Bendall-Jones FAPM, as we discuss current trends in using data analytics in risk management, and how we as project practitioners can use this to make vital decisions on projects.

From Reference Class forecasting, to the use of empirical ‘big’ data, there are many sources of information that we can consider when potential project outcomes.

These approaches come with benefits and drawbacks; are we at risk of using data as a panacea for many of our previous problems with forecasting? Or are these approaches a resource efficient way of talking some big questions?

Richard will present some of his thoughts and learnings before facilitating an open discussion with participants on their options and experiences.

Richard Bendall-Jones is a risk and value manager at Network Rail, as well as Fellow of the APM and APM Risk SIG committee member. His career has included project and risk management roles on rail infrastructure projects in the UK.

Are you a project management professional with a focus on risk and looking to engage with similar professionals?
This conversation will provide an opportunity to socialise virtually and is a great way to network with risk professionals.

There is a limit on the number places available due to the format of the event (virtual) and ideally open to those with a risk focus.

This conversation evening is suitable for professionals with any level of experience.
