This free to attend interactive event, facilitated by the APM People SIG Stakeholder Engagement Focus Group (SEFG) will look at the key question “Is there a difference between stakeholder engagement and stakeholder management?” Various speakers will tell us about their organisations take on the question and share case studies.
Attendees will have ample time to break into groups to discuss this question as well as identifying innovative ways of how as SEFG and the wider community, we can help to create a lasting impact on the importance of stakeholder engagement.

Emma Fielding, QinetiQ
Emma is the Project Controls & Scheduling Manager for the Cyber, Information and Training (CIT) business at QinetiQ who is passionate about the science element of Project Management and is a member of the QinetiQ PSMC SIG.
Emma has 12 years’ experience in managing complex projects in the defence and technology arena working across the full lifecycle in several sectors including finance, cyber, training and air.
Emma mentors and coaches early careers project professionals, supporting and developing them in order to achieve their full potential and, to date, has developed over 20 early careers who are now making an impact across the QinetiQ business.
Susie is Director of Change and Improvement at The Open University. Her role is focused on helping the university to be the best it can be for those who need it and those who pass through it.
Acting as a catalyst across the Higher Education (HE) and Public Sector, Susie leads Open to Change, a not-for-profit consultancy, providing insight, tools and techniques to improve how we deliver change in our organisations. Her primary ambition for Open to Change is to affect how the entire HE sector changes, to ensure it is responsive and respectful of the people inside, its varied history, diverse opportunity and unique cultures.
