Think Differently 2021

We welcome the return of APM's Women in Project Management live/in person conference.

APM’s much-missed Women in Project Management Conference (WiPM) is back – and it’s had an upgrade. On 22 September the 2021 WiPM will take place as a hybrid event, incorporating both face to face and virtual elements. It’ll be at the iconic Edgbaston Cricket Stadium, and tickets will be strictly limited to 200, allocated on a first come, first served basis. Delegates attending can once again enjoy the chance to network with project professionals, enjoy interactive and inspiring sessions, and chat in person to our variety of sponsors and exhibitors.

Prior to booking, please read all of the information below relating to our event safety requirements.

What does this ticket include?

  • In-person access to WiPM on 22 September at Edgbaston Stadium (9am - 4:30pm)

  • Exclusive sessions for our physical audience, including our fantastic keynote speaker Christine Armstrong

  • In-person networking with speakers and delegates

  • Virtual access to the week-long event, Think Differently, of which WiPM forms day three (11am - 3pm daily)

Please note – some of the sessions will be streamed and filmed. Though the main focus of the filming will be the speaker, audience members may feature in the footage. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further details.

Safety requirements for delegates

The health and safety of all attending delegates, exhibitors and staff at APM’s events is of paramount importance to us. We will work in conjunction with venues to implement their safety precautions and any applicable UK Government guidance to make events as safe as possible for everyone.

In-line with current UK Government guidance related to large attendance events, the use of a Covid Pass by its attendees is seen as one of the most effective methods to minimise the risk of Covid-19 spreading.

The Covid Pass gives confirmation that attendees have received both doses of a vaccine, or that they have recorded a negative test result via a lateral flow test within 48hrs prior to an event.

We therefore ask that all attending delegates present a Covid Pass at this event, via the NHS app, upon arrival at the venue. Information about how to obtain a Covid pass can be found here.

For those attendees who are not yet fully vaccinated, this will require that they undertake a lateral flow test within 48hrs prior to the event. Should a delegate receive a positive test result, they will be eligible to either a full refund of their ticket, or a transfer to a virtual-only event ticket. Please see APM’s Terms and Conditions for standard terms and refund policy.

If, for any reason, a delegate would be unable, or would prefer not, to undertake a lateral flow test, APM asks that those delegates consider attending the event virtually. Bookings for the week-long virtual only event can be made here. Existing bookings for the hybrid event are non-transferable, and the normal refund policy will apply (see APM’s Terms and Conditions), except in the case that the delegates can provide evidence of a positive Covid test (see above).

APM recommends that all attending delegates follow suitable safety precautions for an enclosed event:

  • Wear suitable face coverings

  • Maintain 1m social distancing

  • Follow all onsite instructions provided

APM will ensure that:

  • Hand sanitiser is available throughout the venue

  • All usable areas at the venue are regularly disinfected

  • The venue is arranged to allow the flow of attendees to move freely whilst maintaining social distancing (including seating arrangements)

Continued Professional Development (CPD)

Even though we’ve a jam-packed event with 27 hours of CPD available, CPD is about reflecting on what inspired and benefits you and your career, so think about those aspects during the sessions. Don’t worry if this doesn’t add up to 27 hours, your CPD isn’t a record of attendance, it’s about what you’ve learnt.

APM members will have access to our new CPD tool launching this September. Here you can log and reflect on what you’ve learnt and developed throughout the event to build your CPD log. We’ll not be issuing CPD certificates for this event.
