Dr Jas Kalra
Assistant professor in supply chain management at Newcastle University
Dr. Jas Kalra MCIPS is an Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management at Newcastle University. He is also an Honorary (Assistant) Professor at Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, University College London. Dr. Kalra’s research, teaching, and advisory work focuses on managing procurement and supply chains in IT, consulting, and infrastructure projects. His research has been published in leading outlets such as Supply Chain Management, Production Planning & Control, APM’s Project Journal, and The Oxford Handbook of Supply Chain Management.
He regularly engages with the public audience and has been invited to interviews and panel discussions by Al Jazeera, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Bath Royal Literary & Scientific Institution, APM Podcast, and CIPS. Before joining Newcastle University, Dr. Kalra has worked as a Senior Researcher at UCL, University of Bath, and The University of Manchester. He has worked with and advised firms in the energy, construction, financial services, IT, online fashion retail, and FMCG sectors.
