Benefits by grade

Associate member

Associate membership of APM, the Chartered body for the project profession, will help you improve the contribution you make to the projects you are involved in. The resources available to you will support you in the development of your role, helping you adopt new practices and methods to keep you and your skills at the forefront of the profession. It can also provide a wealth of resources to those with an interest in the profession.

Associate members passing PQ or PPQ qualifications will be automatically upgraded to the Full member grade of membership, allowing them to use the post-nominals ‘MAPM’ after their name.

    Free access to over 200 events held around the UK - covering a wide range of project, programme and portfolio topics – providing access to the latest thinking and opportunities to network with other project professionals.
  • Online library e.g. SiG guides
    Access a wealth of guidance, detail and in-depth knowledge, with over 2,000 pages across a broad range of project management topics.
  • Project journal
    A quarterly journal providing an in-depth insight into global projects and innovations from around the world.
  • Role profiler
    Benchmark your competences against industry standards, helping you identify skills gaps and learning opportunities for that next role or opportunity. The role profiler uses the APM Competence Framework 2nd edition, compiled and created by experts from across the profession.

Full member

Full membership of APM, the Chartered body for the project profession, demonstrates your experience and professionalism within the project, programme and portfolio community. This recognition and credibility of your experience is also supported by opportunities to network and continue your personal development journey.

Non-members or Associate members who pass the APM Practitioner Qualification (PQ) or APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) are eligible to apply for Full membership without further assessment. Please contact membership services to obtain the PQ and PPQ MAPM application form.

Fellow

As a Fellow of the Chartered body for the project profession, you will be kept up to date with the latest new thinking and research through APM, and provided with opportunities to demonstrate your knowledge and experience to the wider project management community.

    Post nominal letters to use on your letterheads, business cards, CV, proposals and emails, encapsulating your professional standing for all to see. Fellows of APM may use the post-nominal FAPM (Fellow of the Association for Project Management).
