South East Members remembered Alan Webb at the 9th memorial lecture in his name held at Lingfield Racecourse on 21st July.

The original speaker Miles Shepherd was unable to attend due to an accident and Russel Jamieson stepped into the breach, delivering a presentation which painted vivid pictures of working internationally, together with much sage advice and wisdom gleaned from his own experience working for several organisations in many different territories.

The talk was followed by South East's summer barbecue, traditionally held with the Alan Webb memorial lecture.

Martin Gillespie introduced the event by explaining that this lecture series had been instituted in memory of Alan Webb, who had an untimely passing in 2005. He had been an active member in APM serving on the South East Branch Committee and had authored books on Risk and Earned Value. The lectures are intended to bring international speakers to the branch to make their papers available to a local audience.
