Chris Hollins to host APM Awards 2012
The APM Awards evening on 1st November is set to be a night to remember as it falls during APMs 40th anniversary year. This years awards will be hosted by presenter Chris Hollins (pictured right). Chris, originally best known as BBC Breakfast sports correspondent and now covering the London 2012 Olympics, became a firm viewers favourite on Strictly Come Dancing. He has since extended his repertoire to Watchdog.
Hollins, has also played cricket for Oxford and football for Charlton and QPR, but he couldnt match the success of his father and uncle: who have both played for England.
He is an ambassador for Gold Challenge, part of the legacy programme for London 2012. Participants of the challenge take on five or more Olympic or Paralympic sports to raise money for their own charities.
Chris will follow, Angela Rippon, Bill Turnbull, Adrian Chiles and Andrew Castle in hosting the most prestigious event in the professions calendar.
